Unfortunately, it would take many more horror stories to finally get some changes in thoughts leading to changes in actions.<br /><br />Refugees on a Ship without a Crew<br /><br />The heartlessness of a ship's crew<br />deserting a full ship of refugees,<br />the ship would have crashed on Italy's shore<br />if help had not arrived.<br /><br />Refugees desperate for a new start on peaceful shores,<br />have been deserted by more than that ship's crew.<br />The countries of the world in full awareness of<br />their suffering without relief,<br />have turned their back on giving assistance<br />in the form of chances to immigate,<br />notably Canada, the country of my birth<br />slammed doors shut in the face of great needs.<br /><br />All are deserters of human compassion,<br />should be united in shame at being just like that ship's crew,<br />spurring us on to change to act on our beliefs.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04901778540219312441noreply@blogger.com
